Refund policy

Before you download it, you can cancel for a full refund. After you download it, write to me and we will sort something out.

Before you download it

If you are a consumer in the EU or UK you have a 14 day right to cancel, and up until the moment you start the download that right is yours unconditionally. Ask within those 14 days and you get your money back. You do not need to give a reason.

After you download it

This is a single PDF, and a PDF cannot be given back. Once you have the file you have everything you paid for, and it can be copied and passed on whether or not anyone has the right to do that. That is the reason the download is the dividing line here rather than an arbitrary date.

So at checkout you will be asked to agree that the download starts immediately and that you understand your right to cancel ends when it does. That is a real waiver, and it is the point at which the automatic refund stops being something you can simply claim.

That is not me shutting the door. If the program is not what you expected, email hello@lowerback.me and tell me. I read every one of these myself, and in practice I would rather refund you than have you feel stuck with something that did not help. I am asking for the conversation, not for proof.

How to ask

Email hello@lowerback.me from the address you used to buy it. That is all I need to find the order. Telling me what you were hoping for and what you got instead helps, though you do not have to justify yourself.

You can keep the PDF either way. Asking someone to delete a file they already downloaded is theatre, and I would rather have a straightforward policy than a performative one.

The refund goes back to your original payment method. Paddle processes it, and how quickly it appears depends on your bank, usually somewhere between a few days and a couple of weeks.

Your statutory rights

Nothing on this page removes a legal right you have. Where the law gives you a refund, you get it, and you do not need my agreement to have it. What I describe above is what I do beyond that point, once the statutory right has ended.

Who you are actually buying from

Paddle.com Market Ltd acts as the merchant of record for this purchase. That means Paddle handles the payment, the invoice and any applicable VAT, and Paddle appears on your bank statement rather than lowerback.me.

You can raise a refund with either me or Paddle. Emailing me is usually faster.

A note on the honest version

If you bought this expecting a guaranteed fix for your back, I would rather refund you than have you feel misled. I have tried to be careful on this site not to promise that, because it is not something I can promise.
